WEA comprises three primary groups:
Members, who are the organization's prime focus as well as its supreme governing authority;
Elected governance leaders, who set day-to-day policy direction for the Association;
And WEA's hired managers and staff, who deliver services directly to members, including contract bargaining and enforcement, legal representation, professional development, school funding research, statewide education policy direction, and public relations.
