Locals & Councils

Your WEA membership means you have the support of the National Education Association, our state's Washington Education Association, your regional UniServ council, and your local education association. In addition, members can belong to affiliated groups including WEA-Retired, WEA Higher Education, and Student WEA.

Many of our locals have developed Web sites with additional information tailored to your local programs, issues and needs. Local associations typically are aligned by the district within which you teach. Regional UniServ councils are distributed across the state by geographic region, as shown on this clickable map:

Have you switched locals or councils in your latest job change? You can update WEA records online to reflect a name change, change of address, new school job or new e-mail address. Please make sure we have your current home e-mail address to ensure bargaining updates, election information and union news won't accidentally land in your work e-mail account instead.
