Press Conference with WEA members

The leader of our state’s public schools needs to be someone who believes in the value of public education.  That’s why WEA leaders joined Governor Inslee, Congresswoman Jayapal, and Representative Stonier to sound the alarm on Superintendent Reykdal’s challenger who wants to run our state schools by funneling money away from them and into private schools.

WEA President Larry Delaney and members Michael Peña and Michelle Dinkins spoke out about how we need to move forward, not backward, with adequate funding to reduce class sizes, address opportunity and equity gaps, and invest in our dedicated staff.

Voters are returning their ballots now and WEA is calling on everyone to vote carefully for OSPI.  We need the reliable, pro-public education leadership of Supt. Chris Reykdal.
