See What Elected Officals Say About WEA-PAC

We know that who we elect matters. Having pro-education, pro-labor voices in public office can make all the difference for our members and the kind of policies they pass. Better yet, having educators in public office makes sure our voices are directly represented. Thanks to the support of WEA-PAC, we have 5 WEA members in the state legislature and more than 40 WEA members serving on local school boards or in other local offices. Hear from them and other education champions about the power of WEA-PAC.

Rep. April Berg, 44th LD State House & Former School Board Member

"Thank you WEA-PAC for all you do. Candidates like me and legislators like me cannot do it without you. Your support means everything."

Councilmember Zack Zappone, Spokane City Council & WEA Member

"I'm the only person on City Council that brings an educator's perspective. In my role now I teach part of the day and go to City Council part of the day, so the issues that students talk about in the morning directly impact the work that I do later in the day for City Council."

Director Azeb Hagos, Highline School Board & WEA Member

"Educators need a seat at the table. So if you yourself have every thought about running for public office, do it!"
