2018 Special Education Boot Camp - Purchase Order
This conference is four days of comprehensive focus on special education issues. This summer's training will provide relative information on the responsibilities for those working with children with disabilities.
The training, presented by the WEA Special Education Cadre, is open to all school employees, parents, administrators and representatives from community agencies. View this year's course offerings.
All boot camp participants who have not attended a Special Education and Law class in the last two years MUST sign up for Sp Ed Law on Monday. Participants will select one of four courses offered each day Tuesday through Thursiday. Participants are required to bring their own laptops for this conference.
Training materials will be given to participants on a thumb drive. It is required that all participants bring an electronic device with a USB port to view and use training materials.
Registration fee is $250 and includes training materials, 24 clock hours, breakfast and lunch each day for attendees only.
Parents are welcome to register for this conference. To encourage parent participation there are a limited number of scholarships available to parents not working in education. Please email Jill Dahlen for more information on how to apply for a parent scholarship. Scholarship does not include hotel accommodations.
Lodging: Participants are responsible for their own lodging. Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Spokane City Center has a courtesy hold on a limited number of rooms for WEA members at a rate of $139 per night including tax and fees. You can make your room reservations now at http://group.doubletree.com/WEA_SpecialEducationTraining or by phone at 800-757-6131. This rate is only available until the room block is full and only for reservations made by June 1. Contact the hotel directly to confirm rate and lodging information.
Event Registration Deadline: 2018 Special Education registration deadline is Monday, May 28, or until boot camp is full. Register early to secure your preferred class selections.
