With a focus on the new Washington State Discipline laws, the session will develop an understanding of Tier 2 strategies to reduce our reliance on exclusionary practices to manage student behavior. The session will focus on
• Identify school and classroom choices and actions that lead to the same outcomes of
inequity, exclusion, and racism.
• Execute new school and classroom choices that lead to equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
• Identify strategies for implementing culturally responsive behavior interventions that
address the underlying causes and functions of behavior.
• Homework: Identify the most challenging behavior violations that lead to classroom
exclusions and identify the adult
