Employee assistance program – Optum

The WEA Select Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is available to members/employees and their dependents when purchased by a school district.  Services include confidential personal, legal and financial counseling, child/family and adult/elder care services, an information line and much more. 

All services are designed to reduce stress, distractions, lost time from work and improve your overall wellbeing. The EAP is provided through Optum. 


Section 125 plan – American Fidelity Assurance

American Fidelity Assurance (AFA) provides administrative services to groups that offer the WEA Select Section 125 Plan. This plan typically includes pre-tax payroll deduction of most monthly out-of-pocket premiums not covered by pooling, and may also include Flexible Spending Accounts (unreimbursed health expenses and/or employment related dependent day care expenses). Administrative fees are not charged when the district makes other WEA Select Plans through AFA available to members/employees in the district.
