It's not too late to take a professional development course and get clock hours this summer. WEA is offering two courses in August to support and assist educators in understanding how to apply the best research-based English Language Learners (ELL), culture and equity practices in the classroom. 

ELL: Culture, Equity and Language Training for Closing the Achievement Gap

  • When: Aug. 8-10
  • Where: East Wenatchee

This intensive, 3-day course explores how to apply research-based, classroom-focused language acquisition, culture and equity practices to close the achievement gap for all students who are English Language Learners. 21 clock hours available. Get more details and register for this course.

ELL: Culture and Equity

  • When: Aug. 16-17
  • Where: Federal Way

This is a condensed two-day training where participants, upon completion of course, will be able to apply their new lens of ELL strategies in their classrooms. 14 clock hours available. Get more details and register here.
