The start of a new school year is an exciting and challenging time, especially for newer educators still finding their footing. Many local associations use the start of the year to connect with their younger members by offering much needed support.

For example, the Edmonds Education Association is holding a New Teacher Warehouse event to help members with less than three years of experience stock up on supplies. Walking into an empty classroom for the first time can be daunting, so the EEA will let new teachers “shop” for free among books, teacher resources, bulletin board items, art supplies, pocket charts, storage containers, games and manipulatives, and classroom supplies donated by the community.
