It's American Education Week 2018.

November 12-16 marks the National Education Association’s 97th annual celebration of American Education Week. This year the focus is a celebration of the educators who nurture and support each and every student in our schools. You can join in by sharing photos that represent your appreciation for public schools and all who work in them. Be sure to use #AEW2018 or #WeLoveOurESP.

On Wednesday, November 14 we’ll specifically be celebrating Education Support Professionals for ESP Day. And Friday, November 16 is the day we remind everyone there is no substitute for our fantastic substitute educators.

WEA President Kim Mead had a special message for members:

“United, we will always achieve more for our students than one person can do on their own, Mead said. I’m proud to be WEA. Thank you for your ongoing commitment and support for the students in this state.”
