2016 ESP of the Year Gwendolyn Jimerson

Do you know an outstanding WEA Education Support Professional/Classified employee in your building or district?

Think of your own colleagues — dedicated bus drivers, joyful cafeteria employees, ever patient front office secretaries, the invaluable custodians, and the super paraeducator in Special Education. Imagine your nominee as he or she is presented with a prestigious award and recognition for a job well-done.

The WEA is accepting nominations and applications for the 2017 WEA Education Support Professional of the Year. The deadline is noon, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.

The WEA ESP of the Year winner will be announced by a surprise ceremony at the winner's school, followed by a formal recognition at this year's WEA RA in Spokane in April. Once awarded, the recipient will go on to attend the National Education Association ESP conference with a potential of being chosen as the NEA ESP of the Year.

Our ESP/Classified peers are often the unsung heroes of our public schools, and this is the chance to recognize their impact on students in Washington state.
