Union involvement is important

Veronica Fairchild, Mt. Rainier High School staff and Highline Education Association member says, “As a building rep I keep members informed about school issues by sending out minutes after labor-management meetings. Along with other reps, we do a monthly 10-minute meeting with a slideshow that is sent out to home emails afterward. We have collected everyone’s home email. I also contact new teachers in the building and make sure they are union members!”
