  • WEA National Board Renewal Feedback and Support

WEA's National Board Renewal Feedback & Support training is targeted to NBCTs who have attended Renewal Jump Start and/or are into working on their Renewal.  It provides NBCTs the opportunity to share and get feedback on a draft of their Profiles of Professional Growth (PPG) to renew their National Board Certificate.

Choose from a 3-hour morning, 3-hour afternoon or 6-hour all day session. The 6-hour session includes two structured feedback protocol processes with other candidates.

PPG entries require NBCTs to show their ongoing, positive impact on student learning in their classrooms and to demonstrate how they have continued to grow as a reflective practitioner.

  • WEA National Board Home Stretch

Home Stretch takes place just before the National Board portfolio is due, when candidates are getting ready to focus their attention on final revisions.

The Home Stretch seminar is a one-day event consisting of peer feedback on written commentary. Small like-certificate groups will meet with one NBCT Facilitator to read and provide standards-based feedback on the written commentary for Components 2, 3, or 4 using a protocol specially designed for use at WEA Home Stretch events.

Component One Preparation: In a small, like-certificate group, candidates will explore the selected response items, the constructed response exercises, and released items.

Supported Work Groups: Dedicated work time with available NBCTs who can answer questions and provide support.
