Congratulations to the newly elected WEA leaders

Sunday, April 27 – Delegates at the 2019 WEA Representative Assembly elected Lakewood EA member Larry Delaney as WEA President and Renton ESP member Janie White as WEA Vice President. White is the first ESP member and individual of color elected to one of the top two WEA leadership positions in organization history.

The RA delegation also elected three NEA Directors: Highline EA member Jeb Binns, Tukwila EA member Estefa Gallardo, Federal Way EA member Shannon McCann.

They take office in July in conjunction with the National Education Association Representative Assembly.
