NEA to host virtual Representative Assembly

Due to ongoing concerns regarding the coronavirus, the NEA Board of Directors has voted to convene a virtual Representative Assembly this year. The in-person event in Atlanta will not be held as originally planned.

The NEA virtual RA will be held July 2-3, with a shortened agenda including election of officers, the strategic plan and budget, and the U.S. Presidential endorsement.

Elections will be held via mail-in ballot, and caucuses will be able to meet virtually as well.

Local should still elect a slate of delegates to participate. The deadline for delegate registration has been extended to June 1.
