WEA member's efforts rewarded with paraeducator PD law

Today was the culmination of relentless effort by WEA member Cathy Smith. Today, Governor Jay Inslee signed ESHB 1115 into law. The bill provides for paraeducator training, including four days of professional development. Smith, an Olympia paraeducator, worked tirelessly for the bill’s passage and was asked to speak at the bill signing ceremony.
