Legislature Keeps Working, No New Details

Yesterday the Governor and several legislators held a press conference to announce that they had come to agreement in principle about the K-12 and education budgets, but they didn’t release any details.

When legislators reconvened today, they took up work on the Transportation and Capital budgets.

There are lots of rumors flying about what is in or not in the education budgets, but they are just that: rumors. WEA lobby staff have been on the Hill all weekend and report that even many legislators aren’t aware of the budget details. This is not unusual in the final hours of budget negotiations.
