This is a 3 hour version of the popular and intensive course designed to provide an overview of the rules and regulations required for providing special education services. Based on WAC 392-172A and specific court cases, this course provides the tools stakeholders need to provide compliant services to students with disabilities. Topics include: Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), appropriate student evaluation, individualized education program, least restrictive environment, parent and student participation in decisions and procedural due process. Participants will be asked to provide questions ahead of time to ensure the value of the course for you.
