This course is for paraeducator substitutes, new to the profession, and those who are considering a paraeducator career.
This course will introduce the fundamentals of becoming a successful para substitute. The course will focus on mental preparation, classroom management, school structure, universal protocols, and the differences between para job categories.
Objectives:
Using the NEA’s Universal Standards, participants:
will focus on minimum job requirements
identify characteristics that move them beyond minimum expectations to proficiency.
